Frequently Asked Questions
What is mAh? What's the difference between batteries?
Milli ampere hours (mAh) is a unit of electric charge measuring steady current. The different values of mAh state how long the battery will last when fully charged. So the higher the mAh, the longer your camera’s battery will last until you have to charge it again. The physical size and dimensions of the battery remain unchanged.

Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax will only be charged if we are shipping to you in California. Since we are located in Los Angeles County, the tax will amount to 8.25% of your purchase, including products and shipping.

Who provides the warranty on my order?
Items that have warranties listed on the package are provided by the manufacturer. Additionally, we provide the warranty for the length of time stated on the product details page of the item you ordered. We will replace any defective or worn-out items within the stated length of time. Your satisfaction is our highest priority, so just give us a call and let us know how we can help you.

How do the Extended Warranties work?
RepairTech Platinum Extended Protection Plans are an extension to the warranty offered by the manufacturer on your new camera. They apply only to new equipment, regardless of where you bought the camera. Extended Warranties must be purchased within 30 days of receiving your new camera and must be registered within 30 days of receiving your protection plan. All claims are handled directly with RepairTech and they will direct you to a local service location if needed. You can view more information, register your warranty, or find a local station by visiting RepairTech's website.

Why does the product I received say ‘Made in China’ if the website says it is from Japan?
Most of our batteries, when stated on our website, are designed in Japan where the cells are made; however, the casing is manufactured and assembled in China. This is usually stated on the back of the battery. Regardless of the origin, the warranty we provide is still applicable and we will be happy to help you with any issue you may have.

Where can I recycle my old batteries?
You can participate in the Call2Recycle™ by finding a recycling site near you.
Visit the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation for more information.
You may also call 1-800-8-BATTERY or 1-877-2-RECYCLE for information on where to drop off used rechargeable batteries and cell phones.
